Game creators have a responsibility to firstly entertain their intended audience, and secondly make money. It is the customer’s responsibility to seek entertainment in line with their own moral views.

In this great article from 2005 Gamasutra turned to its readership and asked: “Do game creators have any moral responsibilities in teaching values to their audience?” The response was overwhelming ranging from yes and no answers with different degrees of vehemence to more philosophical delvings.
